Tarantino Plans to Quit At The Peak Of His Career
When asked why he wanted to retire, Tarantino explained that "directors do not get better", citing other filmmakers like Don Siegel. He explained that, had Siegel retired earlier, he would have been able to walk away from the industry with a more memorable career. Tarantino added that Siegel should have retired after Escape from Alcatraz, which premiered in 1979.
