For a game about people who like lurking in the shadows, Assassin's Creed is yet to have a title set in Japan. But, if we believe a recent report, this omission is about to end soon.

Several insiders have come forward claiming that Ubisoft is working on two new Assassin's Creed games. The first one, Assassin's Creed: Rift, was originally a DLC for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla before Ubisoft repurposed it as a standalone title to fill the gap between Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and the next open-world Assassin's Creed game, "Project Red."

Many consider Odyssey as one of the best Assassin's Creed games, only second to Assassin's Creed 2.

Jason Schreier, a video game journalist who writes for Bloomberg, also confirmed that the second unannounced Assassin's Creed game is a part of Assassin's Creed: Infinity. Ubisoft described this in-development title last year as a live-service platform for future games in the franchise.
