Xbox leaks potential release date for A Plague Tale: Requiem

This isn't the first time that the Microsoft Store has leaked the release date of an upcoming game. For the most part, the advanced listings have been spot-on, so it's worth circling June 17 on your calendars, just in case.

As previously mentioned, A Plague Tale: Innocence was one of the biggest sleeper hits of 2019, if not the last console generation. The combination of a lack of marketing and some gameplay-related issues turned away a lot of folks from giving Asobo's original IP a try. But, once word of mouth got out and Asobo started fixing most of the game's issues, more players started to appreciate the game. It also didn't hurt that A Plague Tale: Innocence had a gripping narrative and unique stealth-based mechanics that led to one of the more memorable gaming experiences in recent memory, rats and all.

The little gameplay we've seen of A Plague Tale: Requiem suggests that Asobo is building on everything good with the first game while making sure that it has minimal issues.

Hopefully, with all of this corroborating evidence showing up in quick succession, Asobo Studios and Focus Home Interactive step forward with another trailer for A Plague Tale: Requiem as well as a release date.
