Phoenix Labs reveals Fae Farm for the Nintendo Switch

From the trailer, players can be seen planting and harvesting crops, fishing in a nearby river, and chopping down trees. We can also see dungeon exploration and a simple combat mechanic where players can use magic skills.

Players can also develop and decorate their homesteads with items that can be unlocked through exploration and other activities. Decorating the inside of your house will give you bonus stats like increased health, mana, and stamina. The bigger and cozier the home is, the better the stat bonuses.

There is a strong multiplayer element to Fae Farm as you can have up to four homesteads for yourself and your friends to live in. Players can drop in and out of the game seamlessly and help you progress through coop missions and dungeon exploration. Multiplayer games can be either local or online.

Fae Farm will also feature seasons and a day and night cycle with surprises appearing as the season changes. At the end of each day, there will be a summary of your achievements, things you have sold, and level-ups.

Here's what creative director, Katie De Sousa, had to say about Fae Farm: We wanted to take our favorite elements of the sim genres we love, infuse them with magic and beautiful art, and wrap everything in a light-hearted cooperative experience. The game will let players have multiple saved games so they can play and progress on their own or with multiple parties.

Fae Farm will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive and is slated for launch in the second quarter of 2023.
