This year's Xbox Games Showcase gave Microsoft's gaming arm a much-needed boost in the eyes of gamers, giving Xbox a chance to flaunt its plans for the Xbox Series S/X for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately, while Avowed, Fable, and Starfield, among others, all wowed audiences with their current-gen graphics, one game have notably been absent from the lineup. This year, Halo, and the lack thereof, left fans intrigued, especially in light of the impending release of Season 4 of Halo Infinite on Season 4.

Contrary to some speculation, Spencer affirmed it was not due to any dwindling confidence in the Halo franchise. Instead, it primarily stemmed from the substantial expansion of Xbox's first-party line-up.
