Paradox Interactive is announcing three new games next week

Cities: Skyline is probably the most beloved modern city-building simulation game available right now. Many fans of the genre see Cities: Skyline as the only successor of SimCity 4 which launched way back in 2004.

EA's attempt at rebooting SimCity failed and effectively ended the franchise. Maxis Emeryville, the studio that developed 2013's SimCity also closed down two years later after the disastrous launch of the game.

In addition to the new games being unveiled at the event, the show will also be featuring content updates for Crusader Kings III and Europa Universalis IV. There will also be "several announcements" from Paradox Arc, an indie-focused publishing label.

I don't want to say we have too many announcements, but it's hard to choose which one has me most thrilled," said Paradox Interactive CEO Fredrik Wester said of the upcoming event. "Talking directly with our players about our games, sharing their excitement for what's coming next, comparing how many hours we've played – it's something everyone at Paradox profoundly enjoys."

He adds, "I'm also eager not to have to keep these announcements secret for much longer."

The Paradox Announcement Show 2023 is presented in partnership with Xbox. We expect that the games featured in the show will be available on Game Pass and Xbox consoles when they launch.
