At long last, the anticipation for the 95th Academy Awards has come to an end, and we can now declare with confidence that it was an unforgettable evening.

Ke Huy Quan's moving speech and the surprising victories of the evening sparked a sense of nostalgia for some of the most iconic past Oscar awards. The ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and was hosted by late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who returned for the third time.

Joining him on stage was a star-studded cast of presenters, including Pedro Pascal, Harrison Ford, Halle Berry, John Travolta, Kate Hudson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Elizabeth Olsen, among others.

Although there were a few unexpected wins and losses, the biggest shock of all was the complete lack of recognition for The Banshees of Inisherin, which failed to win any awards despite receiving nine nominations, including nods for Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actress. Similarly, Elvis and The Fabelmans, which garnered eight and seven nominations, respectively, also failed to win any awards.

Michelle Yeoh, who recently sparked controversy through an Instagram post, still managed to make history by becoming the first Asian person and the second woman of color to win the Best Actress award for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once. Additionally, A24 also etched its name in the history books by becoming the first studio to sweep the major Oscar categories, which include Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress.
