Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is giving all the right B-movie vibes and it appears that most fans of the video games are loving it. Gone are the big action set pieces that were so rampant in the Milla Jovovich-led live-action adaptations and in are more grounded scenes inspired by the source material.

After the first Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City trailer was released a few weeks ago, Sony Pictures has posted an update that includes the official movie poster and a vignette trailer with more of the franchise's signature moments.

What's next for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City?

In the movie's Origin Story Vignette trailer, Sony Pictures is making it clear that Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will honor the games as much as possible. Then again, anyone who's remotely familiar with the genre-spawning titles and watched the original trailer will notice that immediately. Still, it's nice that Johannes Robert, the film's director, is going out of his way to point out key details that make the film a "very faithful adaptation of the Resident Evil games.
