Brace yourself for a nostalgia-filled ride through the Grandest Stage of Them All as 2K Sports unveils the official “Showcase of the Immortals” trailer for WWE 2K24.
Upping the ante on its predecessors, which shone the spotlight on the Hall of Fame worthy careers of Rey Mysterio and John Cena, this year’s installment takes players on a thrilling ride through 40 years of WrestleMania history, letting them step into the ring as iconic legends and relive 21 meticulously recreated matches.
WWE 2K24’s latest trailer is a visually stunning feast, seamlessly blending actual WWE footage with in-game graphics powered by Slingshot Technology. You can witness legends like Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, and countless others duke it out in the squared circle, or relive unforgettable moments such as Hogan slamming Andre the Giant or Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon’s Ladder Match, Stone Cold Steve Austin’s brawl with The Rock, and the surreal Firefly Funhouse encounter between The Fiend and John Cena.
The Showcase of the Immortals presents these matches as unlockable challenges, motivating the players to progress and experience each historic bout. Some confirmed matches include Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Bret Hart vs. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, and the Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels classic.
Of course, the Firefly Fun House Match between “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and John Cena, as alluded to in the late wrestler’s introduction trailer, made it on the shortlist as well.
While controversy surrounds Brock Lesnar’s removal from promotional materials, WWE 2K24 remains focused on celebrating the legacy of WrestleMania and its unforgettable moments.
