The United States market is arguably at the heart of the global gaming industry with a good number of huge gaming companies based in the country. However, a recent study shows that the iconic Japanese console and video game maker Nintendo is the most popular gaming company in the US.

According to a new report by SportsLens, Nintendo is the most known and most liked video game company in the United States. The Japanese gaming corporation polled ahead of US-based companies Electronic Arts, Epic Games, and Activision Blizzard, which punctuates the console's chart-topping numbers last year.

The Statista Consumer Insights Gaming & eSports Special data reveals that Nintendo scored higher than its rivals in the US in terms of popularity and brand awareness.

The study shows that almost three-quarters of games in the country are aware of Nintendo as a brand while 47% of players also like the company. EA came in second with 52% of the surveyed gamers knowing the brand and around one-third of them liked the developer.
