Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet launched on November 18 last year to a bevy of positive reviews which were marred by technical difficulties. While the gameplay and story behind the action were praised, users couldn't enjoy the game. From frequent glitches to missing character models and surprising texture pop-ins and poor visual quality and overall technical performance, the game has had its fair share of struggles.
The good news is the Pokemon Company and Nintendo have a plan in place to fix all of that and are already working on it.
In a recent press release where the company celebrated the announcement of Goldengo, the one-thousandth Pokemon to join the franchise, they also revealed a new update is coming to their titles. With Game Freak being the in-house developer for most Pokemon games including the most recent and first installment of the ninth generation, which is a Nintendo Switch exclusive, updates should be big and impactful due to the practical exclusivity of the game.
Update version 1.2.0 for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be out in late February, around the same time Pokemon Home's mobile app is expecting an update. This might suggest that the service that allows players to move Pokemon in between games could be added to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with this update. But, with a focus geared towards "including bug fixes and added functionality" according to their press release, it seems daunting to handle that in a single update.
