Bioware just announced a new Star Wars: The Old Republic expansion

Over the years, BioWare's expansions for The Old Republic have made the story somewhat confusing. Previous releases introduced The Eternal Empire. However, in Legacy of the Sith, the conflict between the Empire and the Republic takes center stage once again. In the expansion, players will continue their pursuit of the rogue renegade Sith, Darth Malgus.

The Old Republic has set up Malgus as a big threat from the start and the Legacy of the Sith finally shines the spotlight on him.

While hunting for Malgus in the latest expansion, players will find themselves exploring a variety of locales across the Star Wars universe. This includes the watery world of Manaan, to the enigmatic world known as Elom, which is characterized by its mountaintop tomb. The expansion even sees players exploring a deep space research station.

The latest The Old Republic expansion will also be raising the level cap to 80 and introduce new Operations, as well as a Flash Point, for players to team up and complete together.

However, while some quality of life improvements will be welcome, what is perhaps the most interesting addition courtesy of the expansion is the Combat Styles. In a nutshell, this new feature will let players mix and match different abilities to create their own preferred playstyle in The Old Republic.

Unfortunately, BioWare did not confirm an exact release date for Legacy of the Sith, instead, they left excited fans with a holiday 2021 release window.
