Leaks and rumors are par for the norm in the video game industry. There are people literally employed just to hunt down all of this information and to separate what's legitimate from what's not. In most cases, leaked information doesn't turn out to be true. However, when it comes from Nintendo of Mexico, that is as legit as it gets.
With that said, the new Nintendo Switch Pro leak, courtesy of Nintendo of Mexico, might be the most credible confirmation of the long-rumored more powerful version of the Nintendo Switch outside of an official announcement. When Will the New Nintendo Switch Pro Release? The New Nintendo Switch Pro name seems just in line with previous naming schemes by Nintendo for older consoles.
Now, before anything else, the new Nintendo Switch Pro is literally called, New Nintendo Switch Pro.
As tacky as it might sound, the name is another reason why the leak is legitimate. After all, Nintendo hasn't been exactly known to be creative with naming their consoles. If you take a look at its history, Nintendo has consoles named like the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and the New 3DS, as well as the New 3DS XL.
In addition to the naming scheme that seems to fit Nintendo's history, the New Nintendo Switch Pro leak literally comes from Nintendo. Or, at least, from Nintendo of Mexico.
In a recent listing on Amazon Mexico, Nintendo of Mexico put up a new item for sale. Right now, it's listed as DUMMY ASIN. But, before the correction, eagle-eyed observers, like Wario64 on Twitter, were able to take a screenshot of the original listing. It clearly shows that the page is meant for the New Nintendo Switch Pro.
