Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the most influential games to release in recent memory. The 2017 title's decision to open up The Legend of Zelda and introduce several new mechanics continues to affect several games today. This is why fans have been eagerly awaiting more news about the still-unnamed sequel to Breath of the Wild. However, while we did get official confirmation and a trailer earlier this year, much about the game remains shrouded in mystery.
With that said, it appears that Nintendo can't keep details about the highly anticipated Breath of the Wild sequel a secret for too long, after hawk-eyed observers found evidence of potential gameplay mechanics that are coming to the game.
When are we going to hear more about Breath of the Wild 2 next?
Not too long ago, Nintendo filed patents that many Zelda fans believe are related to Breath of the Wild 2. The said patents, which Nintendo registered with the World Intellectual Property Organization, come with illustrations that detail several gaming mechanics and describe features that are similar to the gameplay footage we saw at E3 2021.
