Do you remember when Konami made video games? Not even good ones, just video games in general.
For a company that owns iconic IPs such as Silent Hill, Castlevania, Metal Gear, Bomberman, and even Dance Dance Revolution, the Japanese corporation has not worked on a new title for a long time. The only work Konami has done recently is update content for its 2019 title, eFootball PES 2020.
So, when a new Konami game is announced, it doesn't go unnoticed, even if it's from one of their least-known franchises.
GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon to Release on Steam and Switch
GetsuFumaDen: Undying moon is the latest game from Konami, which is just the second game in the Getsu Fuma Den franchise (we don't even know if it's right to call it that) that started with the first Japan-exclusive side-scrolling action-adventure game for the Family Computer developed and released by Konami way back in 1987.
Much like the little-known 1987 title, GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon is a side-scroller. However, it will feature relatively modern elements, including blending classic Castlevania gameplay with rogue elements.
The game is currently under development by GuruGuru and Konami Digital Entertainment. It is expected to launch for the Nintendo Switch and the PC in 2022. However, those interested to find out what the new Konami game is like won't have to wait too long. GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon will be available as early as May 13 via the Steam Early Access program on the PC.
