A New Konami Game Is Headed to Switch and Steam

Speaking of the Steam Early Access program, those who sign up will also receive a port of the original title. This will mark the first time that the game will make its way to a non-Nintendo console since Konami ported it over to the Wii, 3DS, and Wii U over the years.

One thing that stands out the most about GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon is how the game looks. It's very reminiscent of the traditional Japanese art style. In a way, it looks very similar to the classic Capcom title, Okami. However, unlike the 2006 game, GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon is looking like it'll play more like the side-scrolling Castlevania games of old.

As per the game's description, it will see players fight against "brutal, larger-than-life bosses" in a journey that will see them travel through the very depths of Hell in the hopes of putting a stop to a world-ending event.

As mentioned earlier, Konami hasn't made a splash in the video game industry for a long time. However, it's not like they've pulled out of the industry either. The upcoming title, GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon, is proof of that.

With that said, one can't help but wonder what Konami has been up to in recent years.

In February, the Japanese corporation restructured its internal departments. Many predicted that this spelled the end of Konami's time developing video games. However, it was actually just a move to consolidate all their existing departments. In fact, several key individuals in Konami remain with the company.

Coincidentally, this new game comes just days after leakers suggested that Konami was working on a Metal Gear Solid Collection for the PS5. The bundle would reportedly contain remastered versions of the first four mainline Metal Gear Solid games.
