The Home Alone film series, which featured Macaulay Culkin in his iconic role as Kevin McCallister, is a fixture in many family's homes, especially during the holidays. The first two Home Alone movies are widely considered some of the best Christmas movies of all time. This year though, Disney+ has plans for its own Home Alone reboot.
What is the title of the Home Alone Reboot?
The Home alone reboot, Home Sweet Home Alone, will look to replicate the iconic status of the original Home Alone movies by featuring yet another mischievous kid who's been left at home on accident by his family over the holidays.
Similar to the beloved film series, the upcoming reboot will star a child named Max Mercer who finds himself in the same predicament that Kevin did decades ago. The character will be portrayed by 12-year-old Archie Yates, who made his debut in 2019's Jojo Rabbit. However, unlike Kevin, Max won't have to deal with two bumbling thieves who just happened to target their house. Instead, Max will have to try and fend off a married couple who are intent on targeting the family's heirlooms.
