New Dead Island 2 details leak on Amazon

The game will have six characters for players to choose from. These characters are called Slayers and they are distinct from each other. Players can customize the characters' abilities and choose from the different personality and dialogue options available for each.

According to the leak, the game will have different types of zombies that appear and act realistically – not that we would expect anything different.

The screenshots provide an insight into the game's setting, which is still Los Angeles. According to the description, it "takes players across the most iconic location of the City of Angels, now stained with horror, in an exciting pulp journey from the verdant suburbia of Beverly Hills to the quirky promenade of Venice Beach".

Many believe that this leak is accidental and the listing is in preparation for Gamescom 2022. Reliable industry insider Tom Henderson confirmed his agreement, as he tweeted that the game will be re-announced during the Gamescom Opening Night Live ceremony on August 23.

This is not the first time that we've heard of a rumored release for Dead Island 2. Tom Henderson was the source of some of those rumors, with fellow industry insider Colin Moriarty another source. However, this particular rumor seems more genuine and believable.
