The Power Rangers franchise has enjoyed incredible success - with some ups and downs - since its debut in the 1990s. With a catalog comprising dozens of films, television series, toys, video games, and comic books, the franchise can also boast incredible continuity over the years. Now, that continuity is about to get bigger with a new show.

Several months after the latest Power Rangers film, Netflix is set to release a new television series set in the same universe. Ahead of the show's premiere later this month, Netflix has finally released its first trailer and provided a sneak peek into what to expect.

The trailer opens with a scene of four Rangers – Amelia, Javi, Izzy, and Aiyon – as they transform into their individual superhero forms to test their new powers. The trailer then cuts to battle scenes, several of them, where the sentai team put their fighting skills to the test and punch their way through all kinds of colorful and wacky villains.

Ardent fans of the show will notice that the team is missing two Rangers: Zayto and Ollie. Not to worry, the two characters are also present in these series. In fact, we catch glimpses of them in action during the course of the short trailer.

Based on what we could glean from the trailer, Zayto is now a Ghost Ranger and the Zenith Ranger. He currently wields the staff of a Morphin Master, which makes him more powerful than he's ever been. It, however, remains uncertain if he actually is a Morphin Master or not.
