Either Netflix signed Liam Hemsworth to an economically-sound multi-season deal or The Hunger Games actor impressed the showrunners so much with his performance as the new Geralt of Rivia that they've decided to sign him for Season 5 even though he still hasn't made his debut in the role yet.
According to an interview by Deadline with Sophie Holland, the show's casting director, the filming for the fourth season of The Witcher is kicking off soon.
Holland shared that "there will be a short gap" between the filming of Season 4 before the production team goes "straight into season five."
Fans still haven't fully recovered from the news that Henry Cavill is no longer playing Geralt of Rivia after his appearance in Season 3, which premieres next month. Cavill, a vocal enthusiast of all things geeky and nerdy, including the OG Witcher books, confirmed his departure from the series last year. Although no concrete reason was provided, Cavill had previously expressed his desire to see a proper adaptation of the original works by Andrzej Sapkowski. This led many to assume that Cavill's expectations for the role clashed with the vision that the showrunner, Lauren Hissrich, had for The Witcher.
