Nickelodeon's children's animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, is beloved by all. Unfortunately, M. Night Shyamalan's attempt at a live-action remake at the peak of the show's popularity left a lot to be desired. Over a decade and what may be a controversial sequel animated series later, Netflix is taking a shot at finally giving the show the live-action take that it deserves and, believe it or not, it's quite good.

As per the teases, the show, which has been in development since 2018, is scheduled to hit the streaming platform in 2024, giving the audience a chance to see their favorite characters, Aang, Zuko, Katara, and Sokka in an entirely new light.

The official teaser comes years after the world of Avatar was changed forever when critics and audiences attacked, forcing Nickeloden to press pause on whatever ongoing projects they might have had or were planning at the time.

The live-action adaptation of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" was announced in 2018, with the series' co-creators, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, initially involved in the project. However, they parted ways with the project mid-way due to creative differences. Since then, the series has been cloaked in relative secrecy, with filming commencing in 2021.
