Netflix has officially renewed its psychological thriller series, You, for a fifth and final season. The streamer announced this development on Friday, March 24, via a press statement released on its website. While the release was light on details, it revealed that the show's fifth season will arrive in 2024.

Peter Friedlander, Vice President of Scripted Series, Netflix, US and Canada, expressed his pride in You's cultural impact over the years. He continued, "We're excited — and a bit terrified — to see how it all ends for Joe Goldberg, but one thing is for sure: You are in for an unforgettable ending."

While the fourth season seems to have delivered an elusive happy ending and true love for Joe Goldberg, the report teases that things are not over yet as it posed the question, "Will Joe finally face judgment?"

You season four was well received by fans and critics alike. The show garnered a 92% critics approval rating on the review website Rotten Tomatoes. It is also in its fifth week on the streamer's Global Top 10 English TV list and is currently charting on the Top 10 television series list in 88 countries.
