Ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe was birthed in the late 2000s, Disney has done everything in its power to consolidate all the Marvel properties and get them into one place. Over the years, Disney has re-acquired the rights to the X-Men, Deadpool, Blade, and many others. Now, after the success of the original MCU TV shows on Disney+, the House of Mouse is allegedly making a big move following the departure of Daredevil and other Marvel shows from Netflix.
According to several Marvel fans all over the globe, a Netflix disclaimer on all Marvel shows on the streaming platforms reads, "Last day to watch on Netflix: February 28." Naturally, fans wondered what this meant for the future of the now-defunct Marvel's Netflix television series universe. It's worth noting that the Marvel shows on Netflix were licensed out by Disney despite being branded as "Netflix Originals" to viewers.
What's interesting here is that neither Netflix nor Disney has released an official statement. But, you could argue that this was a long time coming, Netflix was always going to lose the license to the shows, and it appears that this is going to happen on March 1.
