Dota 2's lore isn't exactly the easiest to follow. It's spread across multiple media, some of which Valve has since stopped supporting. This includes Artifact, a card game Valve initially released to help expand on the lore of their hit MOBA title. However, because there's a new DOTA anime coming up, a lot more fans and returning players are going to have to get themselves acquainted with the game's lore.
Perhaps because they knew of how convoluted Dota 2's lore was and still is, they decided to put together a video helping to explain everything.
Enter, The World of DOTA. Learn More About the World of DOTA To help explain DOTA to a lot of viewers who will no doubt find themselves curious if not confused, Netflix enlisted help from some of the most prominent names in the scene. Chief among them is Jake Kanner, otherwise more commonly known by his online monicker, SirActionSlacks.
SirActionSlacks fashions himself as the foremost expert in Dota 2's lore. He even has his own YouTube channel. There, he posts detailed breakdowns and explanations of some of the story-related elements in Dota 2 that players might have missed out on or are curious to know more about.
Joining him in the video are Jorien van der Heijden and Owen Davis, known more commonly as Sheever and ODPixel, respectively. This includes the primordial mind, which is the Dota 2 universe's version of the dense sphere prominently featured in the Big Bang theory, the parallel universes, the physical embodiments of the elements and so much more.
