Player ratings always spark a debate among fans of the NBA 2K franchise. This year, the argument about who deserves the highest ratings will start early as the Player Ratings have already been leaked online.
2K revealed that Kobe Bryantwill be the cover athlete for 2K24 last week. At the same time, the studio confirmed crossplay is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X as well. Finally, 2K24 will have the new Mamba Moments mode and ProPlay which 2K says uses a "groundbreaking new technology."
One thing that wasn't revealed during last week's announcement is the player ratings. However, the ratings for a few of the top players have recently been leaked, giving fans some idea of how their favorite players will be rated.
The leak was first reported by Dexerto and comes from 2kratings. According to the leak, the top five players in NBA 2K24 are Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid, and LeBron James, who are all rated at 97 OVR.
The inclusions aren't surprising. Embiid was named MVP last season and was part of the All-NBA First Team selection alongside Antetokounmpo and Doncic. Jokic, on the other hand, won the NBA Championship and was awarded Finals MVP.
