Adult Swim and HBO Max have set the premiere of the animated series for the summer. Jack Quaid has been cast as the lead, playing the dual roles of Superman and Clark Kent, with Alice Lee joining the cast as Lois Lane, Superman's love interest, and Ishmael Sahid playing the role of Jimmy Olsen.
Announced in 2021, the production team comprises producers who have previously worked on shows like Teen Titans Go!, Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, Voltron: Legendary Defender, and She-Ra and the Princess of Power.
