My Adventures with Superman series unveils trailer and release window

Jack Quaid is set to voice Superman in the upcoming animated series, which is slated to premiere on both Adult Swim and HBO Max.


It’s a Bird… It’s a Plane… It’s My Adventures with Superman! The first trailer for the upcoming DC animated series has finally been released, complete with a release window.

In the 15-second teaser trailer, we witness The Last Son of Krypton in action as he thwarts crime and saves the day. We also get to see his iconic transformation from the simple Clark Kent of the Daily Planet into the powerful Man of Steel.

Adult Swim and HBO Max have set the premiere of the animated series for the summer. Jack Quaid has been cast as the lead, playing the dual roles of Superman and Clark Kent, with Alice Lee joining the cast as Lois Lane, Superman’s love interest, and Ishmael Sahid playing the role of Jimmy Olsen.

Announced in 2021, the production team comprises producers who have previously worked on shows like Teen Titans Go!, Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, Voltron: Legendary Defender, and She-Ra and the Princess of Power.

My Adventures with Superman” is a serialized coming-of-age story catching up with twenty-somethings Clark Kent, the bright and driven Lois Lane, and their best friend Jimmy Olsen as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet.

The story follows Clark as he builds his secret identity as Superman and explores his own mysterious origins. Lois, on her way to becoming a star reporter, teams up with photographer Jimmy Olsen to break the stories that matter. All the while, Clark and Lois are falling in love… as Lois gets closer and closer to uncovering his secret identity! Our trio share adventures, take down bad guys, stumble over secrets, and discover what it means to be heroes in their own right.

Superman: Legacy will be James Gunn’s first film to direct as the co-CEO of DC Studios.

Speaking of Superman, DC Studios’ co-CEO James Gunn is reportedly set to helm the upcoming Superman: Legacy film. Rumors suggest that the Guardians of the Galaxy director is searching for a “young Chris Pratt-type” actor to portray the superhero character previously played by Henry Cavill.

The reboot is scheduled to be released on July 11, 2025.
