Mortal Kombat fans have gotten a huge boost on the second film as New Line has now rounded up the film's cast.
According to Deadline, New Line has hired the British actor, Martyn Ford, to bring the franchise's ultimate villain, Shao Kahn to life.
Given Ford's piercing sinister look, his bodybuilding history, and his intimidating height – he stands 6 feet 8 inches tall – we certainly see his appeal and why New Line chose him.
Ford isn't the only new addition to the film's cast. Joining him are Ana Thu Nguyen, Damon Herriman, and Desmond Chiam who star as Queen Sindel, Quan Chi, and the leader of the Edenians, King Jerrod, respectively.
Ford is highly popular for his role in Boyka Undisputed and has also appeared in F9: The Fast Saga, The Sandman, and Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Up next, he will star as General Karlak in the forthcoming fantasy film Red Sonja.
Nguyen's portfolio includes The Spy Who Never Dies and a role in the upcoming film Suka. Chiam has appeared in The Falcon and Winter Soldier, Partner Track, and So Help Me Todd. Herriman, on the other hand, has had roles in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Lone Ranger, Mindhunter, and The Tourist.
