NetherRealm Studios, the studio behind Mortal Kombat – the UK boxed chart’s number one title for September, is gearing up to release its first downloadable character, Invincible’s Omni-Man. In anticipation, the studio has released a new gameplay trailer of the character, which provides a closer look at his moves, both basic and special.

This new trailer stands out for its intricate detailing, surpassing the preview released a few weeks ago. It showcases Omni-Man’s prowess by placing him in fierce battles against three formidable Mortal Kombat fighters – Raiden, Kenshi, and Kung Lao. The Kameo character, Tremor, occasionally joins the fray, lending a helping hand to Omni-Man in the intense fights. Fans can expect a thrilling addition to the Mortal Kombat universe with Omni-Man’s arrival.

The trailer kicks off with the menacing supervillain asserting his dominance over the realms, his trademark arrogance dripping from every word. We witness the Viltrumite showcasing his overwhelming power, effortlessly pummeling his adversaries both on the ground and in mid-air, reducing them to mere twigs, all while maintaining a chilling calmness.

Omni-Man’s lightning-fast movements, reminiscent of his Invincible appearance, leave his opponents bewildered, echoing his character’s arrogance and lack of empathy that both repel and fascinate fans. These traits, while off-putting, make him a compelling addition to Mortal Kombat 1.

NetherRealm Studios drew substantial inspiration from Omni-Man’s portrayal in Invincible. His unfiltered fatality move and Fatal Blow, adapted from the show, stand out vividly, portraying the brutality and Omni-Man’s chilling comfort with dealing death.

In one gruesome fatality move, Omni-Man mirrors a notorious scene from the series, plowing his opponent, Kenshi, through a subway car, leaving only Kenshi’s severed head intact amidst the wreckage. The Fatal Blow, although less graphic, is equally lethal, as Omni-Man pounds his opponent’s face into the ground, reminiscent of his actions in the Prime Video series.

While the trailer predominantly revolves around Omni-Man, it briefly teases his Kameo character, Tremor. Though Tremor attempts to assist Omni-Man sporadically, his true standout moment lies in his Fatality move. He conjures a massive boulder, rolling it over his foes, crushing them into oblivion.

Omni-Man is set to make his grand entrance into the Mortal Kombat Universe with the arrival of the DLC via early access on November 9. Early access is granted to players who have purchased the Premium Edition or Kombat Pack, with other fans gaining access a week later.

Omni-Man is the first among a roster of DLC characters heading to Mortal Kombat 1, including Homelander, Peacemaker, Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda. These characters are poised to join the Mortal Kombat fray in the coming months. Omni-Man’s

Coinciding with his Mortal Kombat 1 debut, Omni-Man recently resurfaced in the second season of Invincible, which premiered on Prime Video, keeping fans on the edge of their seats with his enigmatic presence.
