There have been a lot of rumors about Morena Baccarin's return to the Deadpool franchise after being part of the first two movies. After months of speculation, we now have confirmation from the actress that she is reprising the role of Wade Wilson's wife and teased the possibility of suiting up as a superhero.

Baccarin's casting in the upcoming threequel has been discussed as early as April. However, with so many casting rumors for Deadpool 3, Marvel hasn't actually confirmed her participation in the film. The actress has previously hinted at the possibility of returning thanks to Wade's time-traveling shenanigans at the end of Deadpool 2 thanks to Cable's device.

In an interview with ComicBookMovie.com's Josh Wilding on his podcast, Baccarin confirms that she is returning as Vanessa for Deadpool 3. The actress also revealed that she has finished filming her scenes for the movie which may indicate that she has a shorter role in the upcoming MCU film.

"It did work out," Baccarin said of her role in Deadpool 3. "I finished my shooting days on it already, I think filming is back on again after the strike, and I think it's going to be quite good! I think fans are in for a fun surprise."
