Doctor Strange, who? Believe it or not, the former Sorcerer Supreme isn't the key to unlocking the multiverse, but rather, Adrian Toomes' actor, Micheal Keaton. Not only is the Batman actor set to reprise his role from the Tim Burton films in The Flash later this year, but Keaton is also part of Morbius, the second movie on Sony's Spider-Man universe that doesn't feature the webhead himself.
After being delayed several times over the past few years, it appears that Sony is finally ready to release Morbius on April 1, dropping what they've labelled as the "final" trailer for the Jared Leto vampire flick.
While this isn't the first time that we've seen Keaton in a Morbius trailer, the latest preview for the upcoming movie features a few more minutes of his character talking to Morbius. From what we know so far, the trailers don't exactly refer to Keaton's character as Toomes. For all we know, Keaton could be playing an entirely different person. Besides, even if this is the same Adrian Toomes, it could be a different variant of the same character. It's not entirely out of the question now after MCU firmly established by bringing over multiple Spider-Men in last year's Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Either way, the final trailer for Leto's comic book movie gives fans a better look at Keaton's role in Morbius. The trailer opens to Keaton's voice telling Leto's character that it's time for Morbius to discover who he's meant to be before showing him in his prison garb.
