More female wrestlers to return to the WWE after Emma

After being released by the WWE five years ago, Tenille Dashwood is back to the WWE and it looks like she won't be alone.

Emma alternated time between the NXT, RAW, and SmackDown between 2012 and 2017.

Ronda Rousey nearly got what was coming to her after issuing an open challenge to all the women in the SmackDown locker room.

After taunting every other female wrestler during the October 28 episode of SmackDown, the recently crowned SmackDown Women’s Champion found a worthy challenger in former NXT star, Emma.

Emma, who might be known to other fans as Tenille Dashwood, made a surprising return to the WWE and she nearly walked away with the “W”. As the champ was more interested with talking trash to the audience, Emma came close to scoring an upset several times. Emma’s performance was so good that Rousey had to resort to a dirty tactic to score the win and retain her belt. If nothing else, Emma’s sudden appearance as a potential contender should make for an intriguing storyline where the now-heel Rousey finds herself much more vulnerable than she expected.

More importantly, it was nice to see Emma return to the WWE. Her initial run with the WWE wasn’t quite what you’d expected from a talent of her caliber.

Triple H deserves credit for bringing Emma into the fold. The WWE’s women’s division is in a tough spot these days. Its closest rivals have a deeper stable of female wrestlers dwarfing SmackDown and RAW. It’ll be interesting to see how Triple H will make the Aussie fit with the rest of the WWE.

The WWE women’s division could use a babyface opposite Rousey’s heel.

Speaking of the WWE’s women’s division, Fightful Select claims the WWE wants to see the return of “several” other former WWE superstars for the women’s division, including Nox as well as Chelsea Green. Both are currently not signed to other major wrestling promotions. If we assume that both are healthy and available, the WWE could use their help.
