Luke Cage and Jessica Jones were part of Marvel's Netflix lineup prior to the creation of the Disney+ streaming service, with solo shows and as members of the Defenders. The Marvel shows on Netflix were all discontinued once Disney+ went live - but the actors are teasing their return to the MCU.
Among the Defenders, only Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, has a show on Disney+. He also appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home. With Daredevil already returning to the MCU, fans are hoping that the other members of the Defenders will soon follow.
Actors Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter recently teased fans about returning to play Jessica Jones and Luke Cage for the MCU. The pair posted photos together on Instagram, sparking rumors of a reunion.
Ritter shared a bunch of photos of her with Colter on her Instagram stories. The photos were presumably taken somewhere in Los Angeles. One photo referred to Colter as "Power Man, " one of Cage's titles in the Marvel comic books.
This is not the first time that Colter and Ritter teased fans about the possibility of coming back to the MCU. The pair have shared similar photos throughout the past few years. Since they haven't rejoined the MCU in that time, fans shouldn't get their hopes too high this time around either. What projects can Luke Cage and Jessica Jones join? Jessica Jones and Luke Cage could possibly join Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again.
