The world is continuously striving to find better energy alternatives and devising strategies to contribute towards the well-being of planet Earth positively. This includes looking for renewable energy sources and recycling old materials to produce new ones.
Microsoft is one such firm looking to take such the initiative, announcing a new wireless Xbox controller dubbed the "Remix Special Edition," made up of recycled plastic. This lush green new controller comprises recycled content containing materials like automotive headlight covers, CDs, and plastic water jugs.
The special edition controller also has a rechargeable battery pack, but you can also use your own rechargeable AA batteries. The battery pack allows you to game for 30 hours when fully charged. The controller needs two AA batteries to run, or you can use a wired connection to power it up.
According to Microsoft, the old plastic was sourced from the leftover Xbox One generation controller parts in addition to the headlight covers, plastic water jugs, and CDs. The two-tone green color scheme complements the environmental aspect and the message behind the controller.
