In February 2022, Peacock revealed it was working on a new animated series, Megamind's Guide To Defending Your City, a follow-up to the DreamWorks Animation superhero comedy film, Megamind, which came out in 2010. Since then, we've gotten very little info about the project - until now.
A little over a year following the announcement, fresh details have come to light, including a new poster confirming that the series is still in the works and is set to arrive in 2024. The poster shows Megamind against a dark, minimalist backdrop with an evil grin on his face.
Last year's announcement revealed TV series will chronicle the titular character's metamorphosis from an evil supervillain to superhero and savior of Metro City, as well as an influencer who takes audiences through his adventures via footage from his brain bots.
While the grin in the poster probably means nothing, it hints that the series might tell a different story. Instead of embracing his new status as a superhero, Megamind might turn back to his evil roots and terrorize Metro City some more. The fact that the poster simply bore the name Megamind and did not contain any reference to the previously announced title lends credence to this theory.
