It looks like Robert Pattison's Batman is one of the characters that has survived the sweeping changes in the DCU. The director for The Batman gives fans positive updates about a planned sequel with Pattison being slated to return as the caped crusader.
Director Matt Reeves sat down with Collider for an interview to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of Cloverfield. The director confirmed that he is working on a sequel to 2022's The Batman.
"I'm not going to answer that question, but we are working on a movie. I'll put it to you that way." Reeves said. "We're deep in it and my partner and I are writing, Mattson [Tomlin] and I are writing, and it's really exciting, and I'm really excited about what we're doing."
While Reeves did not mention The Batman directly, the revelation that he is working with Mattson Tomlin points us towards a sequel to the movie. Tomlin worked with Reeves on the script for The Batman.
