It comes as no secret that Kevin Feige is a big fan of Rick and Morty, one of the most popular adult animated shows in recent years. According to new information, Feige wanted to recruit more writers from the animated show to Marvel Studios to bring the same style of humor to the MCU.

According to a new rumor shared by reliable Hollywood insider MyTimeToShineHello, Feige was in talks with Rick and Morty writers before the Writers Guild of America strike to work on various MCU projects.

The leaker previously tweeted that Feige's addiction to the animated show was "destroying" the MCU. This prompted a user to comment that Marvel's boss learned his lesson since Michael Waldron and Jeff Loveness were removed from Avengers: Secret Wars and The Kang Dynasty.

MyTimeToShineHello added that it was a little too late for the MCU as Feige has already spoken to other writers from Rick and Morty to work for Marvel. The insider went on to add, "It's far from over." Michael Waldron, Jeff Loveness, and Jessica Gao were writers for Rick and Morty before being hired by Marvel.

Waldron is credited for writing one episode "The Old Man and the Seat" for Rick and Morty and produced several other episodes for the show. He was hired in 2019 by Marvel Studios as head writer for the Disney+ series Loki which got rave reviews. Waldron went on to write the script for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness which received a mixed reception from fans and critics.
