After Spider-Man: No Way Home, all signs point to Marvel Studios preparing for another box office hit in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Lead actor Benedict Cumberbatch previously expressed confidence in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, saying that the upcoming sequel will match No Way Home. Now, with a few weeks left before Doctor Stranger 2 hits theaters, Cumberbatch's words have become an understatement. Several reports suggest that Marvel Studios is treating the follow-up to 2016's Doctor Strange like 2019's Avengers: Endgame.

Multiverse of Madness is the culmination of Marvel Studios' post-Endgame efforts. The Disney+ shows WandaVision and Loki first introduced the multiverse before No Way Home gave audiences a taste of the possibilities. Now, all bets are off with Doctor Strange 2 as the former Sorcerer Supreme will have to face off against alternate versions of himself and deal with the Illuminati, among other entites.
