Iron Lung, a first-person immersion horror video game, launched last year to mostly positive reviews. Barely a year later, the content creator and entrepreneur, Mark Edward "Markiplier" Fischbach, is turning it into a feature film.
reported on the development last Friday, revealing that Markiplier will self-finance the project, which is currently in production in Austin, Texas. Alongside this, the online personality unveiled a brief teaser on his YouTube channel officially announcing the project.
Iron Lung follows an unnamed convict in a distant future where an event called the Quiet Rapture has caused the disappearance of stars and habitable planets with the survivors comprised of people living on space stations and starships before the event. In exchange for their freedom, the convict undertakes an expedition to a desolate moon with an ocean of blood to search for resources necessary for human survival.
