In a move to elevate the quality of its output again, Marvel is populating its writers' room for the upcoming Avengers movies with proven individuals. Another writer from the Loki TV series is rumored to be a part of the part of the writing team for The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.

The studio recently confirmed that Michael Waldron would be penning the screenplay for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty after the departure of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania writer Jeff Loveness, which may have been the result of that film's performance.

There are rumors that Loveness' departure marks a pivot in Marvel's strategy with the studio veering away from villain-centric movies and focusing more on its superheroes. Waldron will also be the lead writer for Avengers: Secret Wars.

There are reports that Loki Season 2 writer Eric Martin will be joining Waldon in the writers' room for both films. The rumor was first shared by insider CanWeGetSomeToast on X. The information was corroborated by My Cosmic Circus writer and insider Alex Perez.

Martin served as head writer for Loki Season 2, replacing series showrunner Waldron who penned a majority of the first season. However, Martin recently shared that he had to rewrite a majority of the first season for Loki after Waldron left the project to focus on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
