Logan Paul is a legitimate WWE Superstar. The elder Paul might have been gifted the role last year as he basically leveraged his influence to have the WWE bill him as a top star in his first WrestleMania – with a match against Rey Mysterio and the then-babyface Dominik Mysterio. But, while he’s earned himself more haters in his time with the WWE, it appears his fellow wrestlers are more positively receptive to him. One of his former foes even ended up giving him a bespoke item.
Just days after confirming that he has re-upped his contract with the WWE, Paul got a chance to sit down and talk with the 2023 WWE Hall of Famer, Rey Mysterio, in a recent IMPAULSIVE podcast episode.
What made this episode more memorable is the gift Mysterio brought with him for Paul. As a traditional masked luchador, Rey always wears a mask in and out of the ring. This time, it wasn’t only Mysterio who’d worn a mask outside the ring as Paul joined him as well.
Mysterio gifted Paul a Charizard-themed luchador mask by Masahiro Hayashi, which matches his million-dollar Charizard Pokemon card. Paul would later post a picture of himself along with Rey and co-host, Mike Majlak, on Instagram.
Masahiro Hayashi is the designer of most of the gear Rey Mysterio has worn throughout his storied wrestling career.
Among other things, Paul is an avid collector of one-of-a-kind Pokemon cards. His “Illustrator Pikachu” card, which he wore at WrestleMania 38, is currently recognized by the Guinness World Records as the “Most Expensive Trading Card Sold at a Private Sale.” Before this, Paul had worn his 1st Edition Charizard card on his way to his exhibition boxing match against Floyd Mayweather in 2021.
Now, thanks to Rey Mysterio, Logan Paul now has a new item to add to his luxurious collection.
