Lies of P is one of the top Soulslike video games coming out this year. The game is sure to release next month after it wentgold earlier this month following multiple delays. It will see gamers play as the popular fairytale character Pinocchio on a quest to become a real boy.
Lies of P director Choi Ji-won was at the Gamescom convention in Germany a few days ago where he sat down with IGN to talk about the game. Because Lies of P is inspired by Pinocchio, it will feature a lying system that will influence the game.
Speaking about this system, Ji-won said, "The lies in the game are not only lies that you are fooling others [with] but also white lies you have to do to make others feel better. You have to understand others' emotions to make a decision so [we] want users to feel how they would as a human in the game, and it will show in the ending."
Ji-won went on to say that the game has three different endings and the ending a player gets will depend on the kind of lies they tell. He also revealed that the game has a big twist for players who make it to the very end.
During the convention, Ji-won also sat for aninterview with Dualshockers and, thanks to that, we have more insight on how to get the most out of the game. Apparently, Neowiz Games designed the game for replayability and players won't get the complete experience unless they play multiple times and get to all of the endings. Because of this, Ji-won encouraged players to play the ending until "the very, very, very end."
