Keanu Reeves has had no shortage of projects after bursting into the Hollywood scene in the 90s and firmly establishing himself as one of Hollywood's top actors throughout the 2000s, especially when he starred alongside Carrie-Anne Moss in the original Matrix trilogy. However, longtime fans know that 2003's Revolutions was supposed to be a definitive end for Moss' and Reeves' characters, as well as the franchise. So, it's only fair for audiences to wonder why Reeves agreed to return for a fourth Matrix film after nearly two decades.

Thankfully, Reeves' answer to this question was rather short and simple when asked during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
