Thanos was Marvel's last big villain in the Infinity Saga. His defeat required the sacrifice of one of the most beloved Avengers.

The Multiverse Saga will introduce a new villain that will rival the Mad Titan in terms of magnitude. Kang the Conqueror will make his big screen debut in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. The villain played, by Jonathan Majors, made his first appearance in the MCU in the season finale for Loki.

Ant-Man 3 director Peyton Reed weighed in on the MCU's next big bad villain. The director said that Kang's arrival will have a "profound impact" on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I think it has a profound impact on the MCU," Reed shared with Empire Magazine. Jeff Loveness, who wrote this movie, is writing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty as well, so there's been a lot of discussion about the impact that this appearance of Kang the Conqueror makes. There are big things in store."

Kang in the new Ant-Man movie will not be as subdued as the one that appeared in Loki. "Kang The Conqueror in our movie is a very different character," Reed shared. "He's someone who has dominion over time, and he's a warrior and a strategist."
