In an interview with Rolling Stone, Louis-Dreyfus was asked if she’d signed a “20-picture deal” with Marvel Studios to play Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, to which she replied that she’ll be playing her for a while.
While the decorated actress didn’t exactly mention a figure, it’s safe to assume that Kevin Feige wants her to stick around for the long haul.
Louis-Dreyfus initially made her on-screen debut in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier before reappearing again in Black Widow and Black Panther 2. Throughout that time, we’ve come to learn more about the MCU’s take on the mysterious character. So far, we know that she’s a power player, a spy, and a master manipulator, who’s currently the director of the CIA and was formerly married to Everett Ross.
The intrigue surrounding Louis-Dreyfus’s character is fueling a surge of fan theories. Her character’s cryptic nature as well as powerful presence hint at a significant role that will help shape the future of the MCU.
