The enchanting world of Arendelle is set to captivate audiences once again. Disney has officially confirmed not just one, but two sequels to the billion-dollar franchise. During a recent interview with Good Morning America's Michael Strahan, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that Frozen 4 is currently in development, alongside the previously announced Frozen 3.
While Iger didn't divulge further details, the announcement has sparked anticipation among fans eagerly awaiting the next chapters in the Frozen saga.
In his response, Iger confirmed that not only is Frozen 3 in development but there will be a fourth installment as well. He revealed that Jennifer Lee, who created the original Frozen and Frozen II, "is hard at work with her team at Disney Animation on not one but actually two stories." He refused to say beyond that, though, which only served to heighten fan anticipation.
Iger was in Hong Kong to attend the opening ceremony of Hong Kong Disneyland's latest attraction, World of Frozen, when he made this revelation. The themed park will allow fans to experience the beloved animated musical fantasy by walking the streets of Arendelle, dining at the magical city's restaurants, and meeting their favorite characters Elsa, Anna, and Olaf.
