The sixth installment of the long-running Scream franchise debuted in March to an overwhelmingly positive reception. Despite its performance, Paramount Pictures hasn't greenlit a seventh installment, which is a surprise since it only took the studio a few weeks to greenlit Scream VI following Scream's last year debut.

Nevertheless, Scream VI star Josh Segarra has expressed confidence he will return in a seventh installment if it ever happens. The 36-year-old actor made this known during a recent chat with ET Online where he commented, "If there's a Scream 7, your boy will be back a hundred percent." The She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star hinted at his on-screen relationship with the character Sam Carpenter as an incentive for his return commenting, "that relationship between Sam and Danny, I love that.

Scream VI followed four survivors of the Woodsboro killings Sam Carpenter, Tara Carpenter, Chad Meek-Martins, and Mindy Meek-Martins as they try to make a new life in the Big Apple. However, they couldn't escape their past enough as they are soon caught up in the center of a new spate of killings from a new Ghostface.

In the film, many fans believed that Segarra's character was the bad guy. Even when it was revealed he genuinely meant well, some went online to air their continued suspicion. During the interview, Segarra expressed his frustration with fans' inability to believe his character's authenticity. He stated, "No matter what Danny did, he was still a suspect. Even now, I've seen all those chatters where people are being like, 'Nah, he's definitely the killer still.' I'm like, 'Can you just let my man live?' He just loves Sam. He wants to be part of the Core Four. He just wants to be nice and protect her."
