There's plenty of prep work involved when working on a big-budget film. Case in point, Avengers: Endgame started pre-production around the time that Captain America: Civil War was released. The timetable for an Avengers film is around three years of production work before it is released.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is slated for a 2025 release and MCU has started pre-production on the movie. The info comes from Jonathan Majors, who joined the MCU as the universe's next big baddie.

Majors will be portraying Kang the Conqueror in the Avengers 5 movie. According to the actor, he has been in talks with director Destin Daniel Cretton who will be at the helm of the fifth Avengers film. Cretton previously worked with Marvel Studios in directing Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Majors revealed that he has had a "few talks" about the upcoming film with the director. "We spoke for a very long time and he's outgoing, he's an open heart and he's grounded," the actor adds.
