Jon Bernthal is reprising one of his most popular roles ever as The Punisher in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again. With filming currently ongoing, the actor has been practicing and getting himself in shape for the demands of his role.
This isn't the first time Bernthal's return was rumored. In March, a video of the actor doing fight training in the gym surfaced online. Now, a new video is making the rounds that show him working on his shooting skills.
Taran Tactical Innovations, a Simi Valley, California-based firing range, where the actor trains, posted the recent video. The clip showed Bernthal firing two different guns – a pistol and a rifle – at dummies in a test of his reaction time. The actor is accompanied by Thomas Jane, who portrayed the character in the 2004 film The Punisher.
Incidentally, Bernthal's first appearance as The Punisher came in the Daredevil television series which aired on Netflix from 2015 to 2018. Apart from Bernthal, Daredevil: Born Again will see Charlie Cox reprise his role as the titular character from the original series.
The show will also star Vincent D'Onofrio and Sandrine Holt as Kingpin and Vanessa Fisk respectively with Michael Gandolfini, Michael Gaston, Margarita Levieva, Arty Froushan, and Nikki M. James also cast in undisclosed roles.
