Jamie Lee Curtis has revealed that talks are ongoing about a potential sequel to the 2003 hit film Freaky Friday.

She made the revelation during a quick red-carpet interview at the premiere of the Netflix film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

According to the Knives Out star, the film's production company is yet to decide on a specific date to begin production, although they were discussing the possibility. In her words, "There is no scheduled date, but we're talking. People are talking. The right people are talking."

Curtis further stated that she had discussed the potential screen reunion with her Freaky Friday co-star, Lindsay Lohan. Given that she is in her mid-sixties and Lohan is in her mid-thirties, Curtis opined that now is a great time to develop a sequel, although the final decision lies with Disney.

Earlier in October, the actress revealed, during an interview with The View, that she pitched her idea for a Freaky Friday sequel to Disney via a letter. With her recent comments, it seems her pitch appealed to the top brass at the entertainment behemoth.
