In a Threads post, Gunn addressed the latest additions to the cast of the movie. Nathan Fillion has been cast as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced will play Hawkgirl, and Edi Gathegi stars as Mister Terrific - with possibly more to be revealed.

"They fit the story I'm telling," Gunn wrote. Story always comes first." Fans have applauded the casting additions to Superman: Legacy. It will be interesting how these characters will impact the overall plot of the movie. Who are the new cast members for Superman: Legacy? Green Lantern and Hawkgirl will be part of Superman: Legacy.

Nathan Fillion is no stranger to the DC Universe, or James Gunn. The actor was cast as The Detachable Kid in Gunn's 2021 movie The Suicide Squad. Fillion also recently appeared as Master Carja in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
